THE ME I SEE IS THE ME I’LL BE

What I think about myself is more important than what others think of me because “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 Similarly, looking at other churchgoers to get your spiritual bearings can, at times, confuse what a victorious life in Christ is all about. Many claim Christianity yet are still trying to do enough good things to deserve God and earn his favor! This is the life that leaves people condemned, afraid, and headed for spiritual disaster. Believing what God says about you is the first step to a life full of meaning and purpose! 

Do you know that you are royalty? Because of the precious blood of Jesus and not your works, you have been made an heir of God and co-heir with Jesus Christ. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17 Sharing in the sufferings of Christ has nothing to do with your righteousness but instead believing in, and putting your full trust in, the suffering of Christ on your behalf. 

Based on these truths, it is imperative to believe in God’s beautiful plans for your future. What you believe about yourself and your future is where your life is headed! You must believe you can live a life of God’s success because, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.” Henry Ford. Jesus said, “To the person who believes, everything is possible.” Mk 9:23 Therefore, it is paramount to keep your mind on what God says about you. You are who God says you are, and you can do what God says you can do. God has created you to win! Go! Do your life purpose! You will succeed if you believe. 

Matthew 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.

A new year is soon to begin, and God is looking for those who will base their lives upon what he believes about them! When life’s circumstances are screaming negatively at you, this is when the battle is truly on. This is when the Word of God must be crowned as king and supreme authority in your thoughts! You must be relentless at seeing yourself as God sees you–a victorious conqueror! To be sure, who you see yourself as is who you will become! 

Maybe it’s time to take an inventory of what you have been thinking! If you can change your thoughts about yourself and, therefore, the words you speak, you will change your future! As this year is getting ready to close and a bright new year is just ahead, keep this in mind. Your future is directly linked to your minute-by-minute, second-by-second, day-in and day-out thoughts! One thing I am wholly convinced of is...
