A new year is almost here, and it presents the opportunity for a fresh start. Would you like to accomplish more in this new year than ever before? Those who achieve a lot are those who have precise goals in mind they want to accomplish. So, what is a goal? A goal is a specific, measurable occurrence, object, or accomplishment that you would like to achieve or obtain in the future. One where you develop concrete action plans to take you to where and what you want in your future. 

You may not realize it, but a stated goal is an investment in yourself. Setting a goal will take you towards where you would like to be. Those who set goals, along with clear action plans, will accomplish more in their lifetime than those who are willing to let life happen around them. You have an opportunity right now to begin a fresh new year. I love what Apostle Paul said regarding his ministry and life. 

Phil 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We often underestimate how important it is to plan. Think about it; being strategic about life is so important that even God makes plans. 

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer 29:11

Making plans requires an element of faith. To some, the thought of making plans seems stressful. This is one of the reasons why Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30

One of the best things you can do is ask God to reveal what you were created to accomplish. Sometimes people are waiting for something really big or huge to accomplish and miss the steps towards doing something big. There is something that God wants you to do that is right in front of you right now. It may seem small or not that significant, but I promise you that it will be valuable and make you excited! Not only that, it will be the key to promote you to the next level of accomplishment. Once you have a vision for what you could be or accomplish, stress turns into vision and excitement into the energy to accomplish. God knows why he created you and wants to come alongside you to help you be all you are designed to be. 

My prayer for you today is that you would trust God so much that you would feel the freedom to launch out and begin to make specific goals and plans for your future! God is ready to empower you to accomplish wonderful things! Are you ready? Come on, pray, trust God, and…
