REVIVAL
Have you ever felt the need for an inside-out renewal in your life? Would you like to be so changed by God that you become thoroughly drenched in his love? Revival is a word we use that speaks of what happens when someone steps into the life of being radically loved by God, finding themselves free in the provision of Jesus Christ!
As I look at the word of God, I see a breathtaking picture, the church fully revived, a beautiful bride saturated in the love of God without spot or wrinkle, and she is clothed in the glory of God. I’m sure that you, like me, want God to revolutionize every part of your being to be in complete harmony with your original design in God. Yes! Maybe you have been praying alongside me in a similar prayer to this: “God, please wreck me for this world to make me fully alive with Christ! May your truth consume me and may your love overwhelm me!”
In light of this prayer, the story of Saul, son of Kish, is so encouraging! He met the prophet Samuel, was anointed, followed a couple of steps of obedience, and in one day was changed into another man!
1 Samuel 10:6-9 The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them, and you will be changed into a different person. Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you. "Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do. " As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul's heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.
Wow! One-touch from God and everything changed in the life of Saul! When the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, there is nothing that can stop you! I am praying that today will be a day of preparation for you and me! May we be those who surrender to the precious love of God and ardently choose the lifestyle of setting our minds, affections, and hearts on what God says is true about us! This is so important that apostle Paul penned these words by the Holy Spirit:
Colossians 3:1-3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Only you can set your minds on what is true – no one else can do it for you! You must take 100% responsibility for your life and realize that your future is in no one else’s hands but yours! Please understand, the secret to your future is hidden within your daily routine! Yes, your daily habits are the key to a bright future! The opportunity of a lifetime is within your grasp! God has given you the ability to choose life or death, blessing or cursing! When you decide to, above all, trust God and renew your mind to what he believes about you, purpose, success and true significance become your way of life!
Oh, dear friend, God wants this for you more than you want it for yourself! He wants you to love being you more than you want to love being you! Oh my God! I feel this! Please understand that today is a gift that has been given to you! Now is your moment of opportunity!
