Have you heard the saying, "It's not what you know, it's who you know?" This statement may not be accurate in all circumstances, but in the case of authentic Christianity, it is indeed true! Consider this remarkable story.

Acts 19:13-17  Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."  14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 [One day] the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?" 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. 17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.

Neither Jesus or Apostle Paul were known for the size and power of their physical stature but in the spiritual world, they were notably famous. Yes, The devil is genuinely intimidated by those who "know" their God and who operate by faith! Demons would cry out in fear at the very sight of Jesus and would cause their subjects to come and bow at His feet in fear. (see Luke 8:26-39)

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.

Think about this… you know God knows who you are, but does the devil know who you are? A tiny little girl who knows who she is in Christ can cause demons to run in stark terror because of the powers of heaven she wields. Those who operate in the faith of God are greatly feared in the ranks of the enemies of our souls, and their names draw great respect even from Satan himself. 

This kind of life is not something you work up through will-power or by religious acts – this is accessed only through faith! Remember, “Faith comes by and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 May your faith in God be reported in all spiritual spheres so that the devil could never say regarding you…
