It is astonishing how many inventions and great moneymaking ideas started on a napkin like Southwest Airlines, Seattle’s space needle, the Voyager, Citibank, Shark week and many other TV shows and movies to name just a few. How powerful is a thought? – A single thought? He thought has the power to ignite your whole being and transform you into another person! One idea, acted upon, can make you live like a king for the rest of your life. It’s incredible how something so small could become so big! Consider the following Scriptures.

Luke 13:20-21 “He also asked, “What else is the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.” NLT

Luke 13:18-19 “Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.” NLT

A thought is like yeast. Just a little bit of yeast can make its way through a large batch of dough. Likewise, a mustard seed, even though it is so tiny, grows up to be the largest of all garden plants. It is easy to become so busy in life that we forget the most essential part – quiet time! A person who can quiet their mind before God can tap into those wonderful and powerful things for which God created them. Some of you were designed by God for great businesses – others for great ministries and still others for great works of art or poetry. 

The question is, are you taking the time to think? Tomorrow is not guaranteed; it falls into the category of an if for all of us! Yesterday is a canceled check. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is the only cash you have! Are you using it wisely? The fastest way to a ruined life is for a person to spend their time living in the past or worrying about the future. The only day that can bring real prosperity to you is today! The only day that you can truly enjoy is today! The only day that you can launch successful habits is today!

What will you do with today? Make it a priority to have quiet time with God every day! Your future depends upon it! Oh yes, my dear friend, what a fantastic life awaits you!
