COVID-19 didn’t bring about the first opportunity for you to have reason to fear. Think about how many times anxiety has tried to grip your heart. How many times have you reasoned that this situation I’m in is going to be the doozy that will bring about my final demise, losing everything and being forced to live on the street with nothing? Have you ever been tempted to think these kinds of thoughts? Have you ever been in a situation where you wondered if you would ever make it through?

King David was one of those who had his moments of deep fear and anxiety. There are many times he thought his life would be over, and he would never see the light of day again. 

Psalm 56:1-2 Be merciful to me, my God, for my enemies are in hot pursuit; all day long, they press their attack.  My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride, many are attacking me. 

This situation was not an anomaly to King David; he lived his life facing fierce enemies. But in all of his struggles, he seemed to regain his spiritual balance and would begin to trust God again. Look at what the above scripture goes on to say:

Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God, I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

King David realized the value and the power of faith in God! He knew that God alone was his refuge and strength. One of the most well-known scriptures in the Bible is

Psalm 23:4. It says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

No matter what you’re going through, God is the answer! This was the secret to King David’s life, and it is the secret for your life! Who or what are you trusting in? Do you know how precious you are to God? Do you know that he is in love with you right now? Do you know that your works do not determine his love for you? Are you trusting in God’s provision of righteousness for you through Jesus Christ?

When, like a child, you trust God, you invoke the powers of heaven to bring about your best! God is not moved by need but rather by simple, childlike faith. COVID 19, the world economy, problems in your marriage or health cannot keep God’s power from making a way for you and bringing you into your best life! Great purpose is ahead for you! Use today to its fullest – bless somebody today! Your best is yet to come! Right now is the perfect time for you to trust God! May you seize this very moment to surrender to God’s love and watchful care over you because that is how you can take…
