THAT LITTLE GIRL

My life consists of a never-ending, mind-boggling thought process centered around God’s unparalleled love for us and focus on us! God longs to impart into us everything that he is and has! The glory of God speaks of who God is, what he has, and what he can do. Yes, God wants to give you his glory! 2Thess 2:14  Many expend their energy to try to figure out God, but there is a better way to experience all that he is. Approaching God with childlike humility and faith strikes a major chord in the heart of God and brings significant returns!

Luke 18:15-17 People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth; anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

You may have witnessed that beautiful sight of the little girl in the grocery store, twirling around in her pretty little dress, singing at the top of her lungs, completely unaware that you are watching her and not caring even if you were. To me, that little girl is a beautiful depiction of the freedom, humility, joy, and simple trust that pleases the heart of God. Small children are so unsuspecting and live deeply in the moment. Like that child, living by faith causes us to also live in the moment with that same freedom, humility, joy and contentment.

Sadly, for many, church and the Christian life often becomes a spiritual competition and a who's who performance. This surely is not what God is looking for! He wants us all to be intimate with him so that he can import into us all that he is! He wants us to have the heart of that little child in the grocery store, so caught up in the moment that she does not know or even care who's watching.

Humility and simple trust are our secrets to tapping into the power of God’s kingdom and are the characteristics that God is looking for! Carefully consider how you approach God, because the way you approach him will determine the success of your connection with him and the subsequent experience of his glory and goodness! The body of Christ needs a dose of the sweet, trusting mentality of that little girl! I am hungry for more of God, and I believe that you are too! My dearest friend, I am praying for you today! May you, like that little girl, trust God enough to approach him with humility, freedom, and confidence! May you know that you are deeply loved and adored by God and that he is anxiously awaiting the special time you will spend with him today! May today be your day to be inspired to run to God with childlike faith and heart of humility! Oh yes! May you go to him just like …
