ANXIETY PILL #6
Yesterday we talked about how God is our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 We have also learned that God will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 This means that no matter where you go or what you go through, he is there, every inch or second of the way. He will always be your shelter in the time of storm.
Apostle Paul knew what it was like to go through extremely difficult circumstances. How did he respond in those extreme situations? Take a look!
2 Corinthians 1:8-11 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him, we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
Do you hear that? Apostle Paul said that the reason they were going through such a peril was so that they would rely on God instead of themselves. Have you learned to rely upon God instead of yourself? Apostle James powerfully admonishes us through these words: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
Apostle Paul knew that he needed to grow in the area of trusting God instead of himself. Apostle James understood that God allows trials that make us have to persevere so that we mature into those who believe God above all else! When you go through fiery trials and don’t give up, you will learn the secrets of great faith! Faith is what causes you to conquer and win in all that you do!
Rom 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced (faith) that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing will ever separate you from God’s love! You are his dream come true! You are a conqueror! You were born to win! You are God’s child! You are royalty! Oh, yes! Let’s receive these powerful truths! MMMMM…. Oh, yes – what a delight! I just downed…
