LIVE A LIFE LIKE DANIEL!
Though Daniel was a Jew and not a Babylonian, he was so honorable and lived with such integrity that the Babylonian king planned to set him over his whole kingdom. The other governors and princes became very jealous and tried to find a way to defame Daniel's character so that the king would not give him authority over them.
Daniel 6:3-5 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. Finally, these men said, "We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
Daniel's life of honor and integrity silenced his enemies and ultimately caused Daniel’s promotion to the highest level of authority in the land. What a powerful lesson this is for us all! A person who is truthful and trustworthy is a person who will find the favor and blessing of God upon their life. You have exceptional qualities that God wants to bring forth and display them to the world.
Because Daniel lived as a genuine man of God, he was raised to the highest place in Babylon, despite those who came against him. Know this; it doesn’t matter who comes against you when God is on your side! You and God equal a majority in any and every situation! Like Daniel, even when it looks like certain death, God will make a way!
My prayer for you today is that the word of God would be exalted to the highest place! The word of God declares how loved and valuable you are! This knowing will enable you to live a life that displays the character of God. Trusting the revelation of God’s goodness is what releases the mighty works of God in your life! Daniel trusted the character God and, therefore, was found to be one who displayed the character of God! Will you trust God today? Do you know how loved and valuable you are?
