THE WHOLE WILL OF GOD!

The love of God so radically touched apostle Paul that, at times, people said he was out of his mind. Interestingly, Paul did not deny these allegations; instead, he regarded them as true, so it is with many who had been profoundly touched by the grace of God. The truth is, apostle Paul was so moved by God's love and grace that he was willing to share its truth at all costs, even if it meant the loss of his own life. Look at these most precious words that he, through the Holy Spirit, penned to the church at Corinth.

2 Cor 5:13-21 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

These words of Paul describe how profoundly he was impacted by the incredible love of God! Reading them stirs and compels me towards passionate action! Look at these loving words of Paul to the church leaders of Ephesus. Paul has just told them that they would never see his face again and that the rest of his journeys would include prison and hardships. Look at what he says…

Acts 20:25-27 Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men, for I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.

The whole will of God to Paul was that because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God wants to give his love and goodness to the whole world! Yes, he wants all of us who don’t deserve it and have not earned it! The beauty of this reality is so profound that words cannot declare its fullness or accurately describe its beauty!

My dear friend, I am sure that you, like me, want to be like apostle Paul! May we finish our race and keep the faith! I am praying today that the body of Christ would rise up and take hold of the great calling of God upon their lives! The answer to all of humanity’s woes is ours to give away! It's time to proclaim…
