INTIMACY WITH GOD

Intimacy with God is not an accident any more than intimacy with one's spouse is. Trust, vulnerability and nakedness are necessary for that kind of oneness. Are you willing to let God strip you of all the things you have been trusting in to make you feel okay about you? Would you be willing to go to him and him alone for your fulfillment, your needs, and your whole life? This is where real intimacy with God is found. This kind of intimacy with God is profoundly wonderful; nothing can compare! Isn't it time? He is waiting for you! 

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. Matthew 16:24-25  

To enter into the amazing life God is offering us, we must be willing to give up what is comfortable and secure. Those who surrender to the loving heart of God as demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus are those who are positioned for the incredible life of heaven! Look at these verses, and let God speak to your heart! 

My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Ps 84:2  

Come near to God, and he will come near to you. James 4:8  

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:  

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; 

I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3  

God desires to give all that he is to you and that is why he longs to be close to you! Now is your time to allow the love of God to touch you in ways you’ve never dreamed possible! My dear friend, it is time for us as the body of Christ to let God strip us of those things that would hinder intimacy with him! There is nothing more wonderful in all of this world that a person can experience than…
