ARE YOU READY TO WAGE WAR?

Often, when people think of waging war against Satan and demons, they assume the warfare is outside of the body. But I assure you. The real battle is waged within the mind. If you can win in your mind, you win! Life is all about the perception or viewpoints from which a person lives their life. 

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 

Before the shepherd boy, David, fought Goliath, the giant, all the armies of Israel were terrified by him and the fierce Philistine army they were facing. David saw the same giant in the same warriors that the Israelite army saw, but David saw them from a different point of view. When we look at life from God’s point of view, we not only think we can win, we know we will win! David saw himself as an agent of God and his power, but the armies of Israel looked at the giant and the other warriors from the viewpoint of their own strength and skill. 

So, this is the question – how do you view life? How do you see the giants you are facing? Maybe the giant you’re facing is your marriage or your finances, perhaps a family issue or even your health. David trained himself to see God as his complete answer. Is God your answer? Do you trust him? Romans 12:2 tells us we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  We must set our minds on things above. Colossians 3:1-2   

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.  

Do you want to have a new perspective? Are you ready to live as a winner? To David, the existence of God in the reality of his love gave him the winning edge! So, what do you need to do? Determine to allow God’s truth to sit as King on the throne of your mind! Receive the truth that you are extremely precious to God and that you are created in his image and likeness as more than a conqueror!  

Dear warrior of God, you can do everything through Christ who gives you strength! Philippians 4:13 If you're going to win in life, you must set your mind on what God says is true ALL THE TIME! Why? Because to truly win in life, you will engage in the battle of all battles – the war for your mind! So here is the real question…
