A person of their word! This seems to be a concept that is painfully rare in our society. I think that we can all agree that all too often, talk is cheap. Sometimes words can confuse the situation and make it appear like something it is not. Though words are significant, it is not what we say that ultimately defines us but rather what we do. Our actions are the authentic voice of our life. 

James 2:18-24 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone

Prov 20:11 Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.

Jesus said in Luke 6:45 that from the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. In other words, you will only consistently give away who you are – not who you would like others to think you are. Receiving the love of God is the key to having a life that displays the love of God! You get a suntan by relaxing in the sun. A life that looks like Christ is not gained by something you try hard to do but, instead, something you receive. Make no mistake; this is not something you can work up. It can only be soaked up! The life of God is for those who are humble enough to receive! 

John 1:12-13 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

The power to live a Christlike life is made possible by believing and receiving! What I behold is what I become! What are you meditating on? What consumes your minute by minute thought life? Are you setting your mind on things above? It is those who will, like a child, receive the love of God that will have a life that speaks loud and clear of the beauty of…
