THAT OTHER DAY...IS TODAY!

Jesus made a profound statement when he said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Mt 11:28–30) Though every person needs rest for their hearts and souls, the only place that true rest is found is in Christ! From the beginning, God desired to bring us into his eternal place of rest. It was God's plan, that from that place of rest, we would launch out to fulfill his grand purpose for our lives. 

According to the word of God, Joshua, the great leader of Israel, was unable to bring the children of Israel to this eternal place of rest. So, when speaking of rest, God spoke of another time and another day that his eternal rest would be available, and he called that day TODAY! Yes! I said that right – TODAY! 

Hebrews 4:7-10 So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: "Today, when you hear his voice, don't harden your hearts." Now, if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. So, there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God's rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. (NLT) 

If you're reading this, you haven't missed it! You are in the right place at the right time! Even now, God has gifted you with an opportunity of eternal consequence! God is longing for you to enter the place where he lives, the blissful place of peace and rest! Trying to deserve this wonderful life will be counterproductive. The key to unlocking this life is humbly receiving what has already been provided through Christ. 

The question is not whether this is all available or not. The question is, will you receive? The life of faith is now! The season of God's rest is accessible, and that other DAY God was talking about… well… 

THAT OTHER DAY...IS TODAY!
