THE APPLE OF HIS EYE!

It is faith alone that makes you an official child of God. There is no amount of good works that can grant you this royal position – it is by faith alone! Think about it as a child of God. You are extremely important! By faith, you have become one of God’s kids and, therefore, an heir. With this kind of standing with God, you can be assured that whoever touches you, touches the apple of his eye. 

Zechariah 2:7-9 “Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!” For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you–for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye – I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.

You have the status of “The King’s Kid.” Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

The God of the universe, whose child you are, is not willy-nilly, whimsically making decisions without prior thought or planning! No! He is extremely calculated and extraordinarily focused, and you are at the center of all his thoughts! When he sent his only son to redeem you from the enemy, he wasn’t kidding! God’s intense love for us reminds me of a young man who is passionately in love with a woman he desperately wants to marry. As he prepares for the special night where he will ask her to marry him, every detail is rigorously scrutinized and thoroughly planned out. Because of how valuable she is to him, no expense is withheld to make the provisions and romantic setting perfect as he prepares to propose to the one he will forever love and cherish. 

This is how it is with God regarding you. If you only could comprehend how over-the-top in love he is with you! When it came to you, there was no expense he was not willing to pay, right down to the life of his only son! Do you understand? You are everything he has ever wanted! You are his dream come true! 

If you are humble enough to receive, today can be the beginning of the life you’ve always wanted! Faith in these truths will cause you to live with your chin up and your head held high because you are not only royalty, but you are passionately loved! Yes! You are not just “in the family” and “the King’s kid.” You are an heir and a co-heir of God with Jesus Christ! WOW!!! 

My dear partner in Christ, it is time to receive and live in the reality of who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you! You are so loved and important beyond description! From now on, may you see yourself as...
