Have you ever been plagued by the question of whether you should be waiting upon God or if God is just waiting on you? This is an essential question that needs a clear answer. Consider this: When the word of God declares that something is yours, it’s yours! Go and possess it! It is no longer about you waiting on God, but now God waiting on you!

Josh 18:3 So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?

But, there is a waiting upon God that the Bible speaks of that has great benefit. If we don’t know what the will of God is, we cannot move forward. Therefore, waiting in the presence of God to hear his heart and his mind is essential! If we don’t know God’s will, we must spend time waiting upon the Lord in prayer because we must be clear about his will for our lives.

But, when God has spoken to you about what you should do, you must start doing what he has said immediately! When God has already spoken, waiting instead of doing becomes disobedience. Never forget this important principle, “Delayed obedience is disobedience.” Great things are ahead for those who will trust God enough to promptly act upon his instructions to their heart! Never be concerned about whether you can accomplish what God has called you to do! You can be sure that God will never give you a mission that you cannot accomplish when he is your senior partner!

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So, we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
