WHATEVER GOD HAS SAID IS TRUE

THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD Part 20

“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

WHAT DO PEOPLE DO TO KNOW GOD?

God longs for us to know how loved and precious we are to him. Some read the Bible to gain knowledge, but the purpose of the Bible is to gain Christ! Those who trust the character of God are those who will be willing to surrender to whatever God says. Do you know that whatever God has said is not only true, but it’s the best for you?

Though God says he is everywhere present, some treat God as a fairytale, not really believing that he exists. And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 As you know, I contend that the most important word in the Bible is the word believe. Faith is the only thing that accesses a relationship with God. There is no way to overstate the importance of wholeheartedly believing God!

Are you surrendered to the word of God? Are you living in the freedom of knowing all your sin is paid for? You see, “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever would believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 You have to ask yourself the question, am I included when he said that he loved the world? Really? Consider this; “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7

God has not only paid for your sin, but he has raised you up with Christ and seated you in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. The reason why he did this is so that he could show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. Wow! Absolutely astounding!

Those who know God trust his character, and therefore trust words. The Bible declares your extreme value and your state of perfection in the sight of God. Do you believe it? Are you living your life knowing how precious and valuable you are to God? Do you sense him adoring you and seeing you as perfect, or are you living with a sense of guilt or feeling like you can never quite measure up? Have you bought the lie that God accepts you based upon your performance?

In 2007, I was jet skiing 3 miles off the shore of Cancún, Mexico, on a very windy day. I was with a group of people, and we were jumping waves. I ended up having a severe accident crushing one of the vertebrates in my back. The injury was severe enough that I was very near being paralyzed. Multiple situations happened that day, and in the following weeks and months, that brought me near death. I remember never fearing death and never even considering that I wasn’t going to be okay. There was something inside of me that knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that I was going to make it. I never questioned it.

Jesus came to give us a life of complete freedom from fear, condemnation, and shame. He came to give us a life filled with his love and purpose. Believing these truths will cause you to live the extraordinary life that Jesus died to give you. So the question is, do you believe it? Are you meditating on what God says is true about you and your relationship with him? Are his thoughts the dominating thoughts of your mind? You see, those who know God are those who genuinely believe that Jesus paid for all sin and that God truly loves them. Do you believe that? Are you convinced? Is there any question? A thriving relationship with God is based upon believing that…
