THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD Part 18

“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

WHAT DOES A PERSON DO WHO KNOWS GOD?

My spirit is getting excited as I see what’s coming upon the earth. What a thrilling time to be alive! God is getting ready to roll back his sleeves and show his glory! Isaiah spoke the days we are living in and said, “See, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peo and ples, but the LORD rises upon you, and his glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:2

Knowing the days are short produces an urgency inside of me to share the gospel of God’s grace. God is in love with the people you meet on a daily basis and wants them all to spend eternity with him. Apostle Peter said, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Apostle Paul understood the worth souls and was willing to do whatever it took to bring them to Christ. He was happy to be rejected, laughed at, misunderstood, mistreated, shipwrecked, and beaten if he could share the love of Jesus with someone. One of the statements he made to the Corinthian church has always challenged me. “If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.” 2 Corinthians 5:13 Wow! Apostle Paul was willing to be mocked, ridiculed, slandered, and thought of as foolish in the eyes of man if he could win people to Christ.

The great evangelist Reinhard Bonnke once said, “Make the Great Commission your great ambition.” Here is the great commission of which he was speaking.

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Because of satellites, the Internet, and television, the gospel is being made available on every continent and in every nation! People are coming to Jesus all over the world, especially in countries where Christians are being persecuted. Jesus said,  “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14

My dear friend, God is in love with people, and you are his ambassador to those he loves! He does not want one person to missing eternity with him. He has given you and me the authority to go and make disciples of all nations. This is our finest hour! It is time to get excited and to be bold! Now is your time to use what God’s given you to advance the cause of Christ!

Are you moved by the thought of those who will miss eternity with God? Are you willing to let God radically use you? Are you ready to step out into the uncomfortable to share the gospel with someone?

I’m praying today that God will fill you with a passion for the lost! I am praying that you will receive the burden of God for those who don’t yet know him. I am convinced that those who know their God will be strong and will do great things! One of those great things is that they will…
