DO THE MATH!

Do you consider yourself a good person? From where do you gain your validation? Are you forgiven? I mean, fully and completely forgiven? Do you love being you? Are you struggling to measure up or feel like you are good enough in the eyes of God or people? Do you feel like God is smiling at you, or do you perceive him as being frustrated with you? These questions determine whether you are pleasing God or not and whether you will succeed in life. Mind you; success is far more than money or fame; it is the sum total of who you are on the inside.

It is so crucial that you take the time to carefully do the math on this most important life equation – here it is:

The sacrifice of Jesus + 0 works + Simple faith = perfect righteousness in God’s sight. Below are the facts so that you can work this equation.

1. Jesus died for all sin, and he will never die again.

2. Every person you’ve ever met, seen, or known is a sinner and is committing sin daily – especially the first and greatest command, which is, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first and greatest commandment.” (Mt 22:37-38) If God would have left out the word ALL, then maybe this wouldn’t be so serious.

3.  We have failed miserably on the first commandment, not to mention the hundreds of other commands that follow.

3.  If Jesus died for all sin, then God is in love with you – RIGHT NOW… DO THE MATH!

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever would believe in him, would not perish but have everlasting life.”

If all your sin, past, present, and future sin is paid for, and you believe it is paid for, then you are perfect in God’s sight. Consider this amazing Scripture.

Heb 10:14 For by one sacrifice he (Jesus) has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Through the blood of Jesus, God has made you perfect in his sight, and through faith in that perfection, he is transforming your life to look just like himself. Oh, that we would carefully consider these truths! Oh, that we would receive our right-standing with God! Oh, that we would live the abundant life that comes through the revelation of the sacrifice of Jesus for us! Oh, that we would…
