“Get wisdom, no matter what it costs you, get understanding no matter what the price!” This is the advice of the wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon. Wisdom is one of those things that can take your life to the next level! Wisdom can unlock purpose and significance and provide you with things that very few will ever experience. Socrates said, “True wisdom comes to us when we realize how little we know about life, ourselves, and the world.” Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Mark 10:15  A childlike, believing heart pleases God and therefore can access God’s supernatural wisdom he longs to share with you!

Proverbs 4:5-9  Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. 7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it costs all you have, get understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. 9 She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor.” (NIV)

James 3:13-16  Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.  Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.  For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 

One of the telltale signs of true wisdom is humility. Humility wields power in the heavenly’s because it gains the favor of God. What is so remarkable about it is that God wants to release his life to you even more than you desire it!

One day while Jesus was in Capernaum, a crowd came to him and asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” Jn 6:28-29  The work of God and the very life of God always has and always will be accomplished through faith. Because God longs to bless you with all that he is, he is pleased when you believe him!

There is no better day than today to humble yourself to the truth that you are already everything God has ever wanted! When you humble yourself to that truth, you open yourself up to the fullness of Christ. And in Christ are found all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Col 2:2-3 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
