Have you ever felt like God doesn’t hear you or that God isn’t hearing or answering your prayers? I believe this is a dilemma for many people who go to church but have not yet understood God’s ways. The secret to solving this dilemma can be found in these powerful words from the apostle James.

James 4:8 Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Some things will never be perceived until one gets alone with God. God does not share his intimate secrets with just anyone! If a person is not truly willing to obey what God has spoken, God will not share those secrets with them because they would become responsible for what they have received. God shares deep things with those who not only truly want him but are fully committed to doing what he says.

John 7:17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.

Those who make pursuing God and being alone with him a priority will tap into the secrets of heaven and the transforming power and beauty of God’s presence! It is when we get alone with God that he can explain his heart and will to us, and that is when we will pray his prayers and receive his answers.

Mark 4:34  He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.

When you are ready to go deeper with God, you can be assured that God is more than ready to go deeper with you! Experiencing another level with God requires receiving and surrendering more fully to his love and grace! The more a person surrenders to the truth of God’s undeserved kindness and love towards them, the more they will step into God’s glorious ways and life. Only the deeds of God were shown to the children of Israel, but the ways of God were revealed to Moses.

Psalm 103:7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel.

Experiencing the deeds of God is important but knowing the ways of God is paramount! God yearns for us to know his ways! Knowing his ways comes from accepting his passionate love and boundless grace! God has amazing things in store for us and longs to reveal them to us by his Spirit. Apostle Paul penned it like this, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”– but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. 1Cor 2:9-10  

God has prepared amazing things for you! Don’t allow the lies of trying to be good enough to keep you from God’s grace and love for you! With complete trust in the blood of Jesus, refuse to live another moment in condemnation and fear. The Bible says that perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18

Answers to your prayers come from knowing God’s heart and will and believing him! Knowing and believing God comes from spending time alone with him! God wants to meet with you in the secret place that only faith can tap you into! Think about it, how many times did Jesus say, “Your faith has made you whole.”  He said that quite a few times! Faith is the secret to tapping into all God longs to give you!

My dearest friend, today affords you the opportunity to go deeper with God than ever before! God wants to answer your prayers more than you want them answered! He wants to love you more than you desire to be loved! I can assure you of this; you can know God’s heart and step into the life of faith when you learn the beauty of spending time and that most secret and wondrous place…
