Can you think back to when you experienced something so good that you find yourself describing that day as the best day ever? What was it like? From moment, allow yourself to dream and plan for an upcoming “best day ever”. If you were going to dream about a time in the future that you would refer to as the best day ever, what would it be like? What would you do? Maybe it would be at a beautiful beach, or possibly a sightseeing adventure in a helicopter, or perhaps a shopping spree, or even a hike to one of the most beautiful and serene places on earth. I have this inkling that this best day ever would include someone special! Yes, I would wager that at the center of your dreams and plans to have the best day ever would include the love of your life with whom you would enjoy all those special moments! Of course! The most amazing day of your life would most definitely include the one you love the most! Yes – you would spend those precious moments with the love of your life, walking along the beach, hiking to that most beautiful place, talking, holding hands, etc.

Though being with someone is wonderful, there is a higher level of ecstasy! King David understood the most precious times imaginable, and here is how he described his experience.

Psalm 63:1-3 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.  I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.  Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Though King David could have any earthly pleasure he wanted, there was a pleasure that exceeded them all. You see, once you’ve tasted the ecstasy and euphoria of intimacy with God, nothing this world has to offer can compare! What is most amazing is that God wants to be with you far more than you want to be with him and far more than you’ve ever wanted anything or anyone. God longs to hold you in a way you’ve never been held and touch you in ways you’ve never been touched! Yes! God passionately desires to love you in ways you have never, ever been loved!

God yearns for you to experience the passion of his wonderous love for you!

You are the temple he dwells in – you are his sanctuary! He is anxiously awaiting intimate moments with you – moments that will blow your ever-lovin mind! Oh, yes, God’s desire and longing for you are infinitely beyond what you could ever fully comprehend.

God has glorious moments in store for you, and today affords you the opportunity to find out what those glorious moments are like. I can assure you of this; the more you launch out into the world of believing God, the more you will experience the euphoria of the life of heaven!
