God Wants You With Him
The more I contemplate the love of God, the more I am overwhelmed with awe and gratitude! As I meditate on the truth that the One who spoke the universe into existence genuinely wants you and me to be near and close to him is profound and mind-blowing! God wanted you, and me so much that he was willing to undergo the death penalty for our sin! God’s outrageously passionate love for you and me caused him to be willing to sacrifice his only Son! Now, God’s greatest longing is that we would live intimate with him both here on earth and then in heaven for all eternity!
“He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.” 1 Thessalonians 5:10
Those who get a glimpse of God’s passionate, loving heart for them can never be the same! It changes their view of God, themselves, and all of life! The most incredible experience you will ever have this side of heaven is experiencing God’s intense love for you! Oh, yes! It is wonderful beyond description! King David had a revelation of the love of God; here is what he said.
Psalm 63:2-8 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips, my mouth will praise you. On my bed, I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
Ps 36:7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
As I pray for you today, I am asking God that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened so that you would experience God’s amazing love as never before! May today be a day where you experience an encounter of a lifetime with the Love that fills the deepest part of your soul and can heal your heart’s deepest wounds!
