What Grace Can Do for You
The word of God makes it clear that grace must be at the center of all authentic Christian living! Trying to live in obedience to the law is the opposite of God’s plan through Jesus Christ! Apostle John said, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17
Apostle Paul said, “For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly, no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” Gal 3:10-11
Sometimes there’s confusion about what causes a person to live a Christlike life. For so long, the majority of preaching centered on trying harder to do what’s right and making a greater effort to obey God and love him with all. As well-meaning as this instruction may sound, it is counterproductive to producing a life that displays the righteousness of God! Look at this scripture.
Titus 2:11-12a For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age,
Do you see it? Grace is the teacher for right living – not the law! The word “grace” is more than a spiritual definition; it is the essence of Christ himself. Grace is the unearned, undeserved help, power, and favor to succeed in life and live the life of God right here on earth. The apostle Luke recorded it this way in the book of acts: “Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts 20:32
It is the grace of God that can build you up and give you an inheritance among those who are sanctified in Christ! Ephesians 2:8 tells us that it is by grace that we are saved through faith. Do you remember the story of how Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more?” Jn 8:11 The power of the love and forgiveness she experienced that day in the presence of Jesus was the grace-power for her to go and leave her life of sin! Being free from condemnation through the revelation of the love and grace of God, afforded by the shed blood of Jesus, is the most potent life-changing force ever given to man!
Apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 5:13-21 that the whole message of the gospel is that God is no longer counting your sins against you, and he wants you and him to live in intimacy together again! God, through Jesus Christ, made it possible for us to once again live in our original identity before the fall of man! Can you see it? Through Christ, God is offering all that he is to you!
God’s love for you is beyond your wildest imagination! You were and always will be God’s most precious and intimate thought! Will you humbly yet boldly receive this incredible truth? God wants you to experience all that he is! Your responsibility?… RECEIVE! Genuine victory and heaven’s life of prosperity, purpose, and significance are yours!
Oh yes! Here we come! Full speed ahead! I know this seems crazy, outrageous, and amazing, but this is...
