Constant, Passionate, and Powerful

Those who take a serious tour through the history of great revivals will undoubtedly notice the common thread of purposeful and powerful prayer! The great warriors of the faith who saw cities changed and nations infected were men and women who lived in real intimacy with God through prayer! Many of these great people would spend hours a day and sometimes days and weeks in the presence of God. One of those great heroes of the faith is the apostle Paul; carefully consider what he wrote...

Romans 1:9-10 God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you.

This thought has often come to my mind – If Jesus, as the son of God, God in the flesh, needed to pray, how much more do I need intimate time with my Heavenly Father. Those who desire to see God move mightily will be those who pursue God through prayer!

It is essential to realize that great moves of God that impact the world result from genuine intimacy with God. You’ve heard it said –  “Much prayer, much power; more prayer, more power; no prayer, no power!”

You can rest assured that I am not talking about the kind of prayer that doesn’t move the person praying and is only a religious duty! No, I am talking about sweet and profound intimacy with God through genuine faith and sincere prayer!

Oh, my dearest friend, as I pray for you, I believe that you will experience the beauty of what Jesus experienced when he went to spend time with his Father! May you know the profound glory of being unified with him in the Spirit! May you, like the apostle Paul, be one who is constantly remembering people in prayer. I am convinced that the closer you get to God, the more you will know that the prayer that brings real change is…
