CIRCUMCISION
In the early days in Israel, the procedure of circumcision was done on the eighth day because God commanded it. Recent research now tells us that the eighth day is when the baby’s internal antibodies and natuaral painkillers are at their highest peak. In the Bible, the number 8 speaks of new beginnings. A new beginning is exactly what God is wanting to give to you; God is wanting to circumcise your hearts (thoughts and emotions), cutting away from you everything that is withholding your blessing and increase. When this happens, get ready, a new beginning is about to start!
Deut 30:6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Scientific research shows that our bodies and genetic makeup we're wired for love! When we surrender to the undeserved love of God it is the anesthesia and natural painkillers that allow the Holy Spirit to cut of from us every dead work of the flesh, while bringing forth through us the spectacular, beautiful works of his kingdom! Circumcision is also a declaration of the covenant we have with God, declaring us to be his beloved family. Look at what apostle Paul says about this in Romans chapter 2.
Rom 2:28-29 A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise is not from men, but from God.
The word circumcision speaks to me of this thought, “less of me – more of you." When God speaks to you, it is through his Holy Spirit and this is a declaration of God for a time of new beginnings for you. Whenever you hear the voice of God, you can be sure that he is getting ready to do something new in your life! are there areas of self that are getting in the way of God’s best for you? Now is the time to prepare yourself for a new beginning by having a heart that is surrendered to whatever God would tell you. I am praying for you today; may you hear God’s voice, listen and obey. May this be a day of new beginnings for you. May today be your day to launch in a new and positive direction; the start of a brand-new you! I believe this is a "now" word for somebody today… It's time for…
