WONDERFUL TRANSACTION?
Based on our ability to keep God’s holy and righteous commands, we are hopeless failures! Not one of us have done it right, not one of us could stand before God without guilt! Without a doubt, we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God! I love what apostle Paul wrote to the Roman church.
Romans 3:19-20 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
The law declares our guilt, and before God, we are silenced in any talk regarding our righteousness! Our only hope is faith in the finished work of Jesus through his death, burial, and resurrection! Therefore, our right standing with God is not based upon our works but on faith in God’s provision for our righteousness through Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:10-11 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written:“Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”
Romans 3:21-24 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Trying to do enough good things to feel good about one’s self is a sure way to live a demoralized life! We can never be right with God by trying to fulfill the law and all its commands! God is in love with us and has graciously paid for all our sin, so that, by faith, we can freely receive complete right standing with him! Faith is your only answer to being right with God! Faith alone is what settles your account with God! He already did the work for you to be righteous but childlike faith is the transaction that makes it yours! It’s not how hard you try to believe – it is simple surrender to the truth of his provision!
Question?... is your account with God settled? Sad to say, those who try to stand before God based upon their works will be so far in debt and miserably wretched that they will have nothing they can say for themselves before Him. Jesus said, “ I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” (Luke 18:17) God has made it simple…If a child can do this, so can you! Simple, childlike faith is the only transaction that can tap you into God’s abundant life! It is time for us, as the body of Christ, to experience more of the abundance God has provided for us through Jesus Christ! It is time to live by faith and not by works! I am praying for you today! This is your time, and this is your season! I declare over your life today that, by faith, you are experiencing the abundance of this...
