WIN YOUR RACE!

Have you ever been in a car on slippery roads and did not have enough traction to get to where you needed to go? Frustrating – right?! This is what happens to many Christians when they lose sight of their real purpose and their real calling. They lose their traction because of dis- - -traction. Sprinters use blocks to give them the traction they need so as to win the race. There are so many things that can make you lose your traction and choke out your success.

Mark 4:18-19 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

I don’t know about you, but I have struggled with getting distracted. There are so many things to spend my time on or rather to take up my time. With all the social media available and the proverbial world at our fingertips, distraction can be a lurking enemy. Many times the things that are distracting us and keeping us from our true destiny are not necessarily bad things but rather good. Always remember though, the greatest enemy of the best is good. The book of Colossians gives us some wisdom regarding this matter.

Colossians 3:1-3 NIV  Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

If you are going to win this Christian race, you need attraction! You need to set your mind, heart and affection on things above! As we are absolutely surrendered to the love and righteousness that God has given us and learn to stay or abide in that place, we will see tremendous victory and have great traction to get to our final destination! This is an important subject for you and me… think about it! It is time to step into greatness! It is time to lay aside the things that are slowing you down! Heb 12:2  It’s time to remove all the distraction! It’s time to…

WIN YOUR RACE!
