SEE YOUR FAITH!

SEE YOUR FAITH! .png

Do you need God to do something in your life today? Are you trusting him to bring it to pass? You can determine the reality of your faith by assessing what you do. A person who says they have faith but does not act on what they believe is deceived because what they think is faith is not real. The apostle James explains it in these terms.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. James 2:14-18

I love the story in the Bible of the four men who believed that Jesus could heal their friend, and their actions proved it. The place where Jesus was ministering was so packed with people that this man’s four friends could find no way to get him close enough for Jesus to heal him. But, because of their faith, they hoisted their friend up onto the roof, dug a hole in the roof and lowered their friend through the roof right in front of Jesus.

Mark 2:3-12 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven. "Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins . . . ” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Wow... Crazy faith! They believed Jesus so much they were willing to chance being ridiculed or even hated, not to mention the creation of a costly repair! Jesus saw their faith, and the man was healed! Their faith was see-able!

Is your faith seeable? Is your faith getting God’s attention? What do you believe today? What about your future, your family, your health etc. What are you believing God for? I am praying for you today and asking God for his grace to be upon you to have a faith that is real! A faith with actions! May your faith be see-able! More importantly, may God…
