THE WAY UP IS THE WAY DOWN

Somebody once said, "The way up is the way down." The greatest people that have ever graced the face of this earth are those who gave their lives to lift others up! Jesus said, "He who is the greatest among you will be the servant of all." Matthew 23:11 In other words, if you're truly going to become great you will have to take the road of a servant. Apostle Peter said,” Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." 1Peter 5:5b-6  

Apostle James also spoke on the subject and said, "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6      

Many times, people are mainly looking out for themselves – what's in it for me. But this is not the teaching of Jesus or the Bible. Jesus told us that anyone who wanted to be great would have to first become the servant of all. Mark 9:35 Know this for sure, the way you treat your family and those closest to you will determine how high you're going to go. Am I a humble servant to those around me or I am I expecting those around me to humbly serve me? Apostle Paul encourages us to be devoted to one another in love and honor one another above yourselves. Rom 12:10
