GOD'S CHILDREN

God's children… Who are they? I have heard people say, "How come we are not being blessed?” “Aren't we God's children?" Look at Jesus’ view of this.

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50

The ones that Jesus considered as his family were the ones who were doing his will, not just those who considered themselves as his followers! And so, the question becomes, "What is the will of God? How do we do the works of God?" Some of the religious people came to Jesus and asked him this precise question: Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"   Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6:28-29

Genuine Christianity it's all about believing and sincere faith in Christ causes one to be filled with God's love! In other words, legitimate and true faith will always cause someone to be filled more and more with the love of God. Don't ever be deceived by those who can only quote a lot of Scripture but don't walk in the love of God! This is a self-centered religion that is far from God! Walking in the love of God requires genuine surrender to, and trust in, God’s love for us! Full acceptance of God’s provision for our righteousness through Jesus Christ his full acceptance of God’s massive love for us! Without this kind of faith, we cannot live the life of God's love and therefore cannot please him.

The writer of the book of Hebrews penned it like this: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."  Hebrews 11:6

A Christianity without a lifestyle of intimacy with God through his Word and prayer, is a Christianity that is self-sustaining, self-righteous, irreligious and without power! The only way we can ever do the will of God is to believe, and true believing comes from living your entire existence in his presence! Never forget, the true work God is believing! This will cause all the other righteous acts of God to flow through us. All righteous acts can be summed up in one word, “LOVE”. The Love of God, lived out through one's life, is the telltale sign of those who are indeed…
