A LITTLE POWER = A LOT OF CHANGE!
In Joppa, there was a woman named Tabitha who had died and had been placed in an upstairs room in preparation for burial. On hearing that a man of God was nearby, they called for him to come as soon as possible. This is what happened when he went into the room.
Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, "Tabitha, get up." She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord. (Acts 9:40-42 NIV)
Because of this one miracle, a lot of people in Joppa believed in the Lord! How many people do you know who desperately need a touch from the Lord? It is high time for us as believers to be the living manifestations of God on earth! Listen to this powerful word from apostle Paul to the church at Ephesus.
"18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (Eph 1:18-21)
Wow! That is so powerful! The very power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is available to you and me (those who believe)! Oh, that we would walk in what God has given us! Oh, that the world would get a taste of how good God is!
In the first scripture above, it said. “This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.”
Make no mistake… when God’s power shows up, a lot of people experience great change – many people come to the Lord! Don’t you think it’s time to live in what is already ours! Wow… This is exciting! Don’t forget this encouraging thought…
