LUSH SON–TAN
Getting a suntan isn’t complicated and doesn’t take much work. You position yourself directly in the light of the sun and then merely relax and rest...right? Do you know that is very similar to how you become Christlike and experience the life of God! Yes… I am talking about a Son-Tan! More than you can fathom, God longs for you to experience the beauty and glory of all that he is! Can you imagine what it would be like to go so deep into the beauty, wonder and love of God that you would no longer be allowed to come back into this natural state we live in? This actually happened to a man; his name was Enoch.
Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. Enoch walked faithfully with God, then he was no more because God took him away. Genesis 5:24-23 (NIV)
Have you ever wondered how far you could go in God? I love what apostle Paul says here.
1 Cor 2:9 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” (NIV 1984)
You and I both know that when we really want something, we go after it. In this case, going after it does not require natural work; instead, the work is believing God enough to rest in his full provision for your life. God has offered you and me the opportunity to get before him and bask in his presence. Someone once said, “Let go and let God.” It is time for that! I can’t speak for others, but I need and want more of that!
Jeremiah said, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jer 29:13 (NIV 1984)
The beginning of soaking in the presence of God is internalizing the reality that your sins are paid for by the blood of Jesus and that you are righteous in his sight. Since you have been made perfect in the sight of God through the blood of Jesus, you can be assured that he is absolutely in love with you! This is the place of true rest! Knowing that we are completely righteous, loved and adored is supposed to be our way of living. This is where getting a Son-Tan becomes a reality! Know this, resting in God is the key to experiencing more of God! As I always say, “You can never work it up – you must soak it up! Are you ready for more? Would you like a new
