THE REAL DEAL!
I believe the world is in desperate need of role models. Those who not only talk about what is good, but are also engaged in what is good. These kinds of people are the real deal! We have all heard the term "talk is cheap.” I think we could all agree that when someone's walk is louder than their talk, they have become "THE REAL DEAL."
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Apostle Paul said, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph 2:10) Have you ever heard someone say, “He acts just like his daddy?” That is precisely how it should be with us. We are to be a reflection of our Father! How can that happen? How can we be those who display the works of God? This next scripture is the answer.
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
This is amazing, profound, and true! New thinking will create a new you! Solomon told us in the book of Proverbs, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Prov 23:7) King David also cared deeply about this and cried out to God, saying, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer." (Ps 19:14)
You can be sure of this. What you think about continually is what you will become! I am praying for you today that the meditation of your heart will create a lifestyle that declares you as "the real deal.” Remember, “What you behold (constantly think about) is what you will become.” Keep God’s truth in front of you and surround yourself with those who are also passionate about God and his purpose! As I pray for you today, I am asking God for his wisdom to fill your heart, causing you to meditate on all that is best for you and your future! May the power of God be upon you to do more than you have ever had to say, making room for others to declare what your life produces. Yes, yes, yes!… It's time to be…
