TIME TO VOTE!

I believe that we are in the end days and that Jesus will return soon. Often, when people hear those words, they hide and quit pursuing those things God has put in front of them to accomplish on this earth. This is a grave mistake! One of the responsibilities that we are afforded in our nation is to vote. I believe that every person should go to God in prayer for wisdom and then vote! The stakes are exceptionally high during this election, and every person must know the heart of God! This thought process reminds me of the parable Jesus told in Luke chapter 19.

He told about a man of noble birth who went to a distant country to have himself appointed as King and then to return. He called 10 of his servants and gave them 10 minas. He told them, “Put this money to work, he said, until I come back.” Luke 19:13  When the man came back, he was indeed a king. He called his servants to him to question them. The first servant had been faithful with what he was given and earned 10 times the amount. The King said to that servant, “Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.” Mt 19:17

The second servant earned five times the amount, and he was also rewarded. The third servant was different; he was afraid and hid the Mina that he had been given. The King said to him, “I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not so? Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit so that when I come back, I could have collected it with interest?” Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’ 25“ ‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’ 26“He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away. Mt 19:22-26

Each one of us must be faithful with the little that God has given us! If we are faithful with the little, God can give us more responsibility and make us ruler over much!

God has given us the opportunity in America to vote according to what we believe is the will of God! As those who are God’s kids, we must not sit back and allow the agenda of the enemy to take away our freedoms as Christians! We must not be like the man who hid his Mina because he was afraid. As the servants were instructed, we must also be fully engaged in our Father’s business until Jesus returns! It is so crucial that you utilize what has been given to you by God! 

We must take seriously what is in front of us! We must faithfully intercede for our country! God has given you a responsibility, and you need to act!
