Wow! Can you believe that December is already here? Didn’t we just start 2020 a couple days ago? Whenever these nostalgic moments come around, I think about what my daddy often used to say. “Only one life, ‘twill soon be passed. Only what’s done for Christ will last.” It is during these pondering moments that we are reminded of how short our lives are. 

One of the weapons the enemy has to keep us from a bright future is condemnation. He wants to implant thoughts of what we haven’t done instead of what we can do. If you’re going to win the race, don’t look back! Looking back decreases forward momentum; fixing your eyes on the prize is how you win! The enemy is trying to get you to look backward, and God is trying to get you to look ahead! 

Philippians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Don’t allow the enemy to trick you into condemnation! Don’t give him even one second to mess with your mind! Get excited about what you can accomplish, and get busy! There’s no better day than today to set aside every distraction and press forward with purpose and determination towards the great things God has for you! 

My dear partner in Christ, how about making this the best December you have ever had in your entire life? What say we dig in and finish this year strong! Make up your mind not to allow condemnation to have any part in your thought process! As a matter of fact, don’t even worry about tomorrow! Take the next hour, and make it count! 

I am convinced that as you put one foot in front of the other, you will feel a wind at your back because God will be there to empower you! God loves it when you, by faith, take bold steps to accomplish what he has created you to do! He has called you to make a difference and to accomplish great things! You can be assured that when you choose to step out upon the things he has put in your heart to do, he will be right there with you! He will empower you and make a way even when there seems to be no way! 

When you choose to step out, excitement fills your soul, and a life of purpose is ignited! What a great time, and what a perfect opportunity for you to seize the moment! Oh, yes! Take what’s left of this year by storm and…
