GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!
During times of chaos and uncertainty, having the keys that promote increase and prosperity is so important! Think about this. – Why is it that some very gifted and talented people never go anywhere in life, and others with a lot less gifting accomplish great things? One of the secrets of those who become successful and accomplish great things is the art of listening and being teachable.
Proverbs 9:8-9 So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you. Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more. NLT
Wise people are not only teachable, but they invite instruction and correction. I have talked to young people before and sometimes even old who were unteachable and thought they already had it all figured out even when their lives were a mess. How wonderful to find the humble and teachable, those willing to be disciplined and corrected. Listen to the instruction of the wisest man that ever lived, King Solomon.
Proverbs 15:31-33 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
On the contrary, a foolish person does not accept correction or rebuke. Those with the attitude of, “ain’t nobody gonna tell me what to do,” find themselves missing out on life’s greatest wisdom keys and truths that could dramatically impact their future. Solomon also said, “A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise.” Proverbs 15:12
A humble and teachable heart is of great value! I love this great quote from Meister Eckhart “Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.” Greatness is a byproduct of being humble and teachable. One of the marks of Jesus Christ was his servant’s heart. Jesus not only lived as a servant but declared that servanthood was the key to greatness. He said, “The greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of all.” Mk 10:44
This is such a valuable key to life! May we be those that the word of God speaks about who are wise because we have learned the secret of being humble and teachable! May this wisdom inspire us to put a high value on correction and instruction.
My heart's prayer for you today is that God would bless you with an increased revelation of the importance of humility and a teachable heart! Oh yes! This is a key that will make you…
