HE WILL HEAR

Because of the law of performance, many people are afraid to be honest with God when they have failed. But those who understand the love and grace of God do the opposite - they run to God and tell him everything. Our sin was paid for 2000 years ago! There is no outstanding debt of sin! There is never a time that you need to come to God and ask for forgiveness because forgiveness was granted 2000 years ago when your debt was paid.

Question – does sin separate us from God? Isaiah said, “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:2 Though sin indeed separates us from God, understand that God has not left us. Rather our consciences have been defiled, and, therefore, our confidence before him has been damaged. Apostle John declared, “Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.” 1 John 3:21-22

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confession does not mean asking God for forgiveness; instead, it means owning up to the reality of your sin. This is not for God’s benefit but ours. When you come to God and own up to your sin, your conscience is cleared, and you stand pure before him. When your conscience is not clear, there is a wall separating you and God, even though God is longing to be with you. When your conscience is clear, faith is unhindered and the sweetness of your intimate relationship with him is again restored.

Ps 35:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.

We know from the word of God that anything that does not come from faith is sin and cannot tap into the pleasure of God. (See Rom 14:23 and Heb 11:6) What a blessing to go to him, knowing he has forgiven us and loves for us to be close to him. The fact that the God of the whole universe wants to spend time with us is outrageous in one sense and unbelievably beautiful in another! God wants to meet with you! Will you seek him today? Know this…
