Something awe-inspiring transpired years ago while watching a couple of my daughters compete at a track meet. I was blown away as I watched a young man contended in the mile race. I don’t know if I have ever seen anyone give it their all as he did. Having expended everything, he won the race and collapsed at the end. It was the sort of effort that one rarely gets to witness in real life.

I don’t know if you have ever heard the term, He left it all on the field. When God sent Jesus to come to this earth as the Lamb of God who would take away the sin of the world, He left it all on the field. There was nothing that he withheld when it came to buying us back – no cost was spared! He gave it all! He displayed the beauty of his passionate love for us through the ultimate gift of his only son! It is the revelation and acceptance of this fact that gives us the power to also give our all to him! Look at what Jesus said regarding this. 

Matthew 16:24-26   Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 

The most beautiful and exciting thing you will ever do in your life is to, like God, give your all back to him for his glory and purpose! Yes! Understand this, to give your all is to believe him completely, without reservation! Unreserved abandonment to God opens the door for the power of God to manifest in and through your life. Therefore, moving in the power of God is preceded by living in the righteousness God has offered to you that is accessed by believing. The most exciting and wonderful experience you will ever have is losing your life to gain God’s life! Real and wonderful Christianity is not living for God but rather God living through you. Listen to what Jesus said... 

Jn 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 

The life you’ve always wanted will be found when you, by faith, surrender to God living his life and doing his will in and through you! Will you trust God today? The spectacular life I have been discussing is available for those who trust God! Don’t try to figure it out – just receive! 

Once again, how do you leave it all on the field? Childlike faith! Simple trust! Just receive! Let go and let God! Will you trust him? If you will, you can be sure…
