THE LOWEST PLACES

If your job is just an average job and your name has no special accolades behind it, according to the Bible, you are in the perfect position for God to use you for great things! When God called people to significant leadership positions, most of the time, they were not serving in a palace or in a governor's court. They had no unique titles, and no one thought of them as someone great. Indeed, they were usually serving at one of the lowest ranks of occupation and were from a very insignificant family.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. Exodus 3:1

Many times, being a servant means being the one to make the bed or do the dishes or take out the garbage, etc. It is more comfortable to sit back and wait for someone else to do that lowly task, but it is the heart of God to step up to the plate and be a blessing!

I am praying today for those of you who feel like what doesn’t really count for much. I am praying that the truth about who God chooses to work through becomes a revelation and begins to excite you about where you are in life right now. The most significant purposes flow through those who are humble and merely willing to serve.

Like David or Moses, if you feel like your life doesn’t count for much because you don’t have worldly status, then know that, according to the Bible, you are a likely candidate for God to choose for his great purpose. Yes, the more I see Scripture and the heart of God, the more I realize that God seems to find his greatest leaders in some of...
