IT’S TIME TO DIVE IN!

The Bible lets us know that Stephen was a man full of the Holy Spirit and full of faith. Acts 6:5 He was a man dedicated to Christ and his mission! While Stephen was still young and the message of Christ was rapidly advancing, some hated the message of Christ and drug Stephen before the authorities. Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, spoke to them with such absolute clarity and power that those who heard him could neither deny or dispute the truth he was speaking because of the power of God upon him.

Acts 6:10 “… they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.”

When the Holy Spirit is upon a person, they are able to speak with clarity and wisdom beyond what is humanly possible. At that moment, the Spirit of God was so powerfully upon Stephen that he began to look like an angel.

Acts 6:15 All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

How I would love to have been a fly on the wall while Stephen was talking to the authorities. It would’ve been a magnificent sight to see the glory of God visibly coming upon human flesh! Just moments later, Stephen would be stoned to death and see God face to face. He was so caught up in the glory of God. I believe he saw God before his spirit ever left his body.

Acts 7:55-56 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Wow! Can you imagine the awesomeness of this moment? One thing I know is that God is longing to do great things also in our day! He is looking for those who are committed to his purpose and through whom he can declare his glory! Are you willing to be one of those? Let the faith of God rise within you today! Set your hope fully upon God and his word! Your best is yet to come! It’s time to go all out! Yes!…
