The God we serve is more wonderful than we have ever been able to perceive and more loving and forgiving than we can fathom. If we were to get what we deserved, we would be separated from God for all eternity! Though God knows all of the sins we have committed or will commit, every sin has been paid for by the precious blood of Jesus! 

Psalm 103:10-12 He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah had a profound revelation of the goodness of God. Pay close attention to what he wrote – it’s beautiful! 

Isa 57:15-19 The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away— all the souls I have made. I was angry, so I punished these greedy people. I withdrew from them, but they kept going on their own stubborn way. I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway! I will lead them. I will comfort those who mourn, bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far,” says the Lord, who heals them.

God has always given me far better than I deserve! Beyond all doubt, I am fully convinced that I do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to deserving God and his goodness! King David also had an intimate understanding of the kindness, forgiveness, and mercy of God. Here is how he describes God’s forgiveness heart towards him. 

Ps 130:3-4 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

The blood of Jesus has bought for you a perfect standing with God that is beyond your wildest imagination! Our loving God is more passionate about you than you have ever dreamed! He wants more for you than you’ve ever wanted for yourself! Oh, that we would have a greater revelation of the presence of God all around us and within us - if only we would truly recognize...
