PURIFIED
Body cleansing has become pretty popular these days, and rightly so. A purified body is a healthy body that can operate at peak performance. Our spiritual bodies are the same. When we obey the Word of God, God causes our spiritual body to be cleansed and enables us to live life with supernatural empowerment. The proof of the spiritually clean body is made known by the way we love our brothers and sisters in Christ. When our spiritual life is operating at its highest potential, our love towards others is sincere and from the heart.
1 Peter 1:22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
James 1:22-25 Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it–he will be blessed in what he does.
It is easy to think that we know the Word of God if we can quote it, but truly knowing the Word of God is when one’s life is a declaration of what the Word of God says. So, here’s the question: Do you only hear the Word of God, or are you a doer of what you read? Is your life in the process of being purified by obeying the Word of God? Supernatural empowerment is applied to your life when you step out and begin to do what God has shown you in his Word! The rewarding and fulfilling life of God is accessed through trusting God enough to live out the truth he is revealing to you in his Word! God loves you more than then you have the ability to imagine! His plan for you is better than anything you’ve ever dreamed up! The life that God has provided for you and me is amazing in every sense of the word!
As I write this today, I am finding myself feeling excited about your future! I believe these Encouraging Notes are a divine appointment from God to cause you to step into a higher level of living than ever before! I am praying for you today and asking God that his grace would be upon you! Yes! May his grace enable you today to be a doer of what God has spoken to you through his Word, and may you see the fruit of his profoundly beautiful love flowing in and through your life!
