ALL ABOUT HIM!

How often do we say things that we don’t understand or even fully mean? How many times have we said that it is all about God while living lives that declare something different? If only it were truly a revelation that it is indeed all about him. How different and beautiful life would be!

My dear friend, God is everything! I mean EVERYTHING! How many times have we reasoned that our intense prayer or exhaustive Bible reading would procure the favor of God and release revival? I admit. I have often relied upon my own efforts instead of trusting God! The secret of God is not accessed by our works but lies within simple trust and rest in Christ. How profound and beautiful! Consider the following Scripture, for it is profound in light of the fullness of the complete word of God.

Romans 11:32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

Do you comprehend what this verse is saying? The law, which Adam and Eve chose and passed on to us, is what God has used to bind all men over to disobedience so that he can show his incredible love and apply mercy to us all. It was not God’s will that Adam and Eve opted for a life of bondage to the law, but God, because of his great love for us, already had a plan to use it to show us his incredible love for us! God’s mercy is for us all; no one is excluded!

Romans 3:23-24 tells us that, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Amazing! You and I are included in this great and wonderful salvation! Our efforts to be righteous or right, not only do not work but alienate us from the real presence and power of God. Look at what Romans 11 goes on to say.

Romans 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Who has ever given to God that God should repay him?” 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him, be the glory forever! Amen. (NIV1984)

Colossians 2:6, 7 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. (NLT)

When we understand that God is indeed everything for true fulfillment and purpose, we will grow strong through all that we know, and we will live lives that overflow with gratitude and thankfulness to God! Oh, my, my, my! How can I emphasize this enough? SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS, IT’S…
