“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

We have been discussing the idea of what do people think who know their God. What do people think who have an intimate relationship with God. So far, we have determined that those who know their God believe that everything revolves around God. Yesterday we substantiated that those who know their God are always thinking God’s thoughts. Above any other thought, those who know their God think they are loved and precious to God!

If you were going to sum up everything that we know about God in one word, it would have to be the word love! The essence of all of Christianity is love. Jesus said the greatest command is love. John 13:34. “God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever would believe in him would not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 God is crazy in love with you and me! So beautiful – so amazing! King David said, “Through the unfailing love of the Most High, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 21:7 King David also made this remarkable statement, “The earth is full of God’s unfailing love.” Psalm 33:5b In another place, he said, “How priceless is your unfailing love.” Psalm 36:7 God’s love is priceless! There are no words to accurately describe how intense and wonderful his love is for us.

So here’s my question; are you resting in God’s amazing love for you? Do you live your moments inside of his love, or are you living the stressful life of trying to earn his love? Do you sincerely believe that you are precious to God? God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah saying,  “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3b God did not begin his love for you after you chose to serve him; he loved you before you were born! Before the world began, God was in love with you! You are his dream come true!

Because of Adam’s sin, we were born into a sin consciousness. Most people live with a guilty conscience, therefore always trying to earn God’s love and favor. The law, given through Moses, promotes self-righteousness and, thus, empowering the flesh. Living a performance-based life produces a guilty conscience. It causes a person to be excluded from the beautiful life Jesus came to give us. Apostle Paul made this point very clear when he said, “You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace..” Galatians 5:4

Living in the grace of God is living inside of his undeserved favor and love! Grace means that you have been declared righteous in God’s sight! Yes – have been! You already are! Do you have any idea how precious you are to God? Do you know how valuable you are? I promise you this; those who know their God think that they are…
