Overcome by Love
Love was the motivating force behind the life of Jesus! The love of his Father inspired everything he did! Interestingly, Jesus received little persecution until he started doing miracles. The display of God’s love and power through his life made him a target for those who would later kill him. The devil doesn’t mind your Christianity as long as you aren’t making any real waves! When your Christianity begins to wield the life-changing power of the gospel, you also will become a target! Apostle Paul said, “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Tim 3:12
I believe that God is getting ready to pour out his Spirit in unprecedented measure. A measure of God’s love heretofore unknown is going to manifest itself in the body of Christ! This manifestation will bring the body of Christ into love and unity as never before. This outpouring will be the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayers for complete unity and the stated purpose of the fivefold ministry. Jesus prayed five times in one prayer recorded in John 17 that we would become one even as he and the Father are one. Apostle Paul declared, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13
As we see the signs of the end times upon us and the darkness of godlessness prevailing, we can be sure that God’s plan will succeed, and his glory will be revealed!
Isa 60:2 See, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you, and his glory appears over you.
As long as the church is not impacting this world, the enemy is happy that we go to church. But when we start to make a real difference, we become an arch enemy. We must prepare now! When the power of God’s love is released, a wave of God’s glory will bring amazing transformation, and people will be forever changed. This is the last hour, and God’s great purposes are at hand. So exciting!
Revelation 11:15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”
The culmination of God’s eternal plan for this world is at hand! Our most exciting times are yet ahead! It is time to get prepared for God’s final push to release his good news to the ends of the earth!
The Bible declares that “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 Right now, many live in fear. Many Christians don’t share their faith because they are afraid. When the love of God overcomes us, this is going to change! We will be as bold as lions!
So how should you be preparing? Rest in God’s love! Is that it? Yes! The love of God is where the power of God lies! A life filled with God’s love cannot be worked up – it must be soaked up! To live a life filled with the love of God requires us to renounce and leave the life of trying to deserve God! Receiving God’s gift of righteousness through the sacrifice of Jesus opens the door to living the life of being overcome by love! Yes, this revival will impact the world as never before!
