Two Keys to Favor
Those who are successful contend that there are undeniable keys to success. Many who have succeeded in life have shared how their success came from daily habits and life choices that produced positive outcomes. Mike Murdock said, “The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.” Success on the outside always comes from success within. Daily routines have the power to change a person’s character, and character can launch a person into greatness. The Bible often speaks about characteristics that are keys to success; here’s one of them.
Prov 3:3-4 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Wow! This Scripture declares that the characteristics of love and faithfulness have the power to procure the favor of God and man! Let that soak in!
According to the word of God, these two characteristics are at the center of the success God longs for us to have. Apostle Peter wrote that love for others should be our highest goal. He said, “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 The world is longing for love! This can be demonstrated by how a person will stay at a job where they feel loved and appreciated over a job that makes more money but is miserable. Someone once said, “Love is what makes the world go round.” True love, i.e., the love that comes from God, is indeed what makes this world go round!
Faithfulness is another key that should always be in the conversation of those speaking of success. Jesus constantly talked about the importance of faithfulness. One of those statements tied directly to success says, “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke 16:10 (NLT) Another translation says, “if you are faithful with the little, you will be ruler very much.”
Often, it is not the super-talented who will get the promotion but instead the one who is faithful, diligent, and has a teachable, kind heart. Often employers are looking for employees who will just be faithful to show up and work, and that quality seems to be slipping in our day.
The characteristics of love and faithfulness are fruits of the Holy Spirit and are the characteristics of our eternal Father.
Psalm 85:10 Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.
Love and faithfulness are like two peas in a pod; they are inseparable from the other. These two vital characteristics are keys to your future and must be received – never earned! The more we receive how precious we are to God, the more we will experience and live in all that he is, including his characteristics of love and faithfulness.
My dear friend, how God longs to bless and favor you! How he longs for you to live in his success! Now is your season! Today’s your day! It is time to possess what God has freely given! If you are ready for a new level of God’s favor in your life, then it’s time to implement the daily habits that will cause you to obtain these…
