Where Can They Go
The world is in dire need! Sickness, disease, poverty, famines, wars, plagues, rampant violence, and crime have people shaken and in need of God’s grace as never before! But where can the hurting go? While all the craziness on earth has been happening, the church of the living God has been declining and moving into a state of irrelevance because of not knowing who they are in Christ. I believe hundreds of millions want a taste of what is real, but they are confused. It is as if they are saying, will the real God please stand. They are desperate to know if there is hope and if there really is such a thing as real love. Who is available to bridge the gap between them and God’s amazing love and grace? Who will tell them? Consider these powerful and compelling words of Jesus carefully.
Luke 10:22 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
God is calling us to ask him for more laborers to go out into the harvest field of souls! Are you praying? Are you part of the answer? God is in love with your neighbor, your coworker, that person that works at the gas station, and that person you see on the street every day. Through the apostle, Peter God said, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.
Oh, may the love of God overwhelm you today! May you be so filled with him that you cannot help but give away the precious truth of God’s love and grace. Since a person can only give away what they possess, it is of utmost importance to base your whole life upon God’s love and grace! If our most significant effort is focused on believing and receiving God’s precious thoughts towards us, we will automatically become a powerful healing source for this hurting world.
Reinhard Bonnke once said, “Make the great commission your great ambition.” The world is heavily burdened by hurt, shame, guilt, addiction, depression, fear, anxiety, discouragement, hopelessness, sickness, and disease, and God longs to heal them through you and me! Listen closely to the precious heart of God through Jesus’ own words.
Mt 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (NIV)
God desperately wants to heal the brokenhearted and bring relief to those carrying the heavy loads of guilt, hurt, depression, anxiety, and the like. You and I are his answer to this world; we are His hands, feet, and mouth! The anointing to make a real difference is not something we can work up; instead, it is something we must soak up! Those who live their lives inside of God’s love and grace will be those through whom God’s power will be revealed!
The world is hurting and longing for help. Can God count on you? Is there a place they can go to find help? Is the body of Christ ready for this? Now is the time to pray, and now is the time to act! May you be so saturated with God’s love and grace that you become the answer to this most critical question…
