WHAT DO PEOPLE DO TO KNOW GOD?

I love the song by Israel Houghton that says, “Jesus at the center of it all, Jesus at the center of it all. From beginning to the end, It will always be; it’s always been You. Jesus, Jesus. Nothing else matters; nothing in this world will do. Jesus You’re the center; everything revolves around You. Jesus, at the center of it all. The center of it all.

Oh yes! I love it! That sounds like Christianity! Scripture says, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all to the glory of God.” Colossians 3:17 Why? Because everything revolves around Jesus! You see, people who want to know God live a life totally devoted to him. A life totally devoted to God is a life that is centered on Christ! Apostle Paul, while in Athens, reasoned with the Areopagus (philosophers in Athens), saying, “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man, he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:24-28a

For in him, we live and move and have our being! Yes! Genuine Christianity is being all about God! “For from him and through him and to him are all things.” Romans 11:36 Success in Christianity is discovered when a person is all about God! Everywhere they go, everything they do is wrapped up in him. Apostle Paul said, “For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” Romans 14:7-8

I believe that we are nearing a time of great revival in the body of Christ! I believe those who claim the name of Jesus are going to become radically devoted to him! I see a revival coming, the likes of which we have never seen. People will experience the love of God in a dimension beyond anything they have ever known. As apostle Paul said, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Oh Yes!!! This world has never experienced what is getting ready to unfold before our very eyes! One thing I’m sure of is that those who truly want to know God are those who live totally devoted to God. Those who are totally devoted to God are those who are…
