Do you like mysteries? There are profoundly exciting things God has planned for us as his children! Just as knowledge is increasing in the world, so, the revelation of God’s eternal plan is unfolding as never before. We are now in the dispensation of grace and the kingdom of God within us, and God is revealing secrets that have been kept hidden since the creation of the world.

1 Peter 1:10-12 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. NIV

Col 1:24-27 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations but is now disclosed to the saints.  To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. NIV

The prophets of old expended great effort trying to find out what has now been and still is being revealed to the church through the word of God and the Holy Spirit. The mysteries of Christ in us, the dividing wall of hostility (the law) being removed, and Jews and Gentiles living as one inside of Christ are being unveiled in dimensions never before dreamed of. The reality that the glorious, eternal God, the one who spoke the universe into existence, and the very same power that raised Jesus from the dead, is within those who believe is astounding and beyond comprehension!

Eph 1:18-23 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Wow! Do we understand what is ours in Christ? I think we have only scratched the surface! Are we walking in the power that is available to us? I believe we are still in first grade on that one! Oh, the glory and unsearchable riches of God’s goodness and grace towards us! The truth of what God has provided for us is dumbfounding and wonderful beyond description! Indeed, the mystery of Christ in us and the glory of the gospel have been hidden since the fall of man but now…
